Market Dialogue and Procurement Facilitation Services
Are you receiving too few bids? Would you like to improve your procurement processes so that both contracting authorities and suppliers achieve better outcomes – without the need to increase your own staffing resources?
The Market Dialogue and Procurement Facilitation Service helps organisations, particularly in the public sector, improve their procurement processes through facilitated market dialogue and other preparatory activities.
As an impartial facilitator, I help ensure that the contracting authority’s needs and expectations are aligned with the capabilities and solutions available in the market. A successful tendering process should create value for both the contracting authority and potential suppliers.
What does the service include?
- Additional support in preparing the invitation to tender: I help define the contracting authority’s needs and develop clear, relevant and comparable evaluation criteria.
- Market research and dialogue before the tendering process: I help gather market information through Requests for Information (RFIs) and develop an understanding of the solutions that potential suppliers can offer.
- Impartial facilitation: I facilitate constructive dialogue between the contracting authority and potential suppliers.
What are the benefits for the contracting authority?
- Fewer conflicts and misunderstandings. Clear dialogue helps ensure that all parties have a shared understanding of the requirements.
- More and higher-quality bids. When companies understand the actual needs behind the procurement and find the process open and easy to understand, smaller and more specialised suppliers are also more likely to participate.
- Greater trust. A transparent and interactive process demonstrates to suppliers that public procurement is conducted in a well-planned, impartial and fair manner.
The service is particularly suitable for public-sector organisations and other entities carrying out public procurement that want to improve procurement outcomes, build long-term relationships with suppliers and ensure that competitive tendering delivers the best possible solution available on the market.
